Timely Automatic Time Tracking App Reviews

Im a freelancer, and have multiple projects going on at the same time usually. Its nice to have an easy way to keep track of your hours. If I had suggestions, they would be being able to integrate the Timely calendar with apples calendar. I was using apples in the past. Itd be great if I could put a project in Timely, and it show up in my calendar as well. I wish I had more flexibility with starting projects and viewing the results on my phone, and I wish there was an ability to have more than 5 projects on the free version. But it is free, which is nice. Overall though, its quickly turned into my go to app for keeping track of my hours.

This app has helped me focus my time and I find Im getting much farther more quickly on all of my projects. My iPad simply tracks my time as I work-but it definitely helps! Looking forward to the new features Ive heard about. Thanks!

Impossible to « Add New Hours » -> blank screen

Id really like to try it, its a great concept, but crashes at least on projects :( Yet, when returning to app, it requires a new login. Its annoying!

I love Timely. It is helping me to mindfully spend time between work, my masters degree and my personal life. The Apple Watch app is both convenient and handy. I am specially fond of the notification Timely shows up when the planned time is reached. It helps me get perspective to evaluate if I should go on with the task at that moment or not. The total planned for the day also helps me keep my day from overflowing tasks — and now I am trying to find the tricky balance between challenging myself and under committing in order to keep presence and mindfulness through the day.

This is a best tool to control time, activities and budget... I donativos know what I would do without it!

I use the app to manage my time spent for my studies. It works very well and haven’t noticed any crashes on my iPhone 6 yet. However a few features and changes would be great: - an overview of the current week (like in the web version) as a start screen - monthly view - the option disable the shown amount of money expected from a task, helpful if you use the app generally for time tracking of non-paid tasks and projects - a much wider and more nuanced coulour palette for project coulours - a more concised layout of the project/users/report tabs. it wastes a lot of empty space on the screen that causes more scrolling - when dragging down to add new hours, the X in the upper left corner does NOT cancel the entry but still adds it. instead you have to use the upper right corner to call a pop up menu. this is imho counterintuitive and uneccessary complicated. why not let X cancel the action and replace the three dots for a checkmark to save?

Would have loved to try it, as it has a promising design. Unfortunately thats it. The app crashes at every opportunity and the sign-up for a new account goes into an endless loop...

The app blackmails the user to either give away all personal info or else cant use the app.

I absolutely love this app, especially on the Apple Watch! Quickest and easiest way to track time for my projects. I use this for tracking work for clients and studies and both works great. Dont want to miss it anymore.

Worked perfectly.

Extremely buggy, does not work in background. Time was lost multiple times. Started timer and app crashed when phone auto-locked and unable to enter any time for the day. Time entered for a day is reverted to 0 in some cases.

I love the web app but the iOS gestures are still confusing. I accidentally pulled and released creating a time so then hit the X to cancel except it created an 0:00 entry anyway. Tried to delete the entry and it didnt delete. The bottom buttons are cut off when using Personal Hotspot (blue personal hotspot bar pushes everything down). Will continue to use web app.

I love the web app but the iphone app needs some work. The gestures are sometimes confusing such as knowing how to delete an entry. Also something that is really annoying but should be an easy fix is that I cant enter an hourly rate that has any cents in it on the app (havent checked the web app yet). Probably just needs a variable type change and youre good to go. Thanks!

The latest update made the program worse. Now it just freezes when it says its synching. Prior versions worked like a charm

Great app but can only use for 1 day after downloading. Using it on my iPhone 5s and when loading the app the second time is says "waiting to sync." Hours later still cant use the app.

I love Timely and use it every day online. This app, however, only synchronized on first install, the app is essentially unusable after that, hence one star. Fix it and i am willing to rewrite my review. There are other issues: Once synced it will appear to work but I have found on multiple occasions it loses track of time and gets out of sync with any online sessions you have running. I have had a timer running online and opened the app only to have it revert my online timer back to the previous time and stop state that the app thought it was at. Not cool. The ability to modify times with a drag is great but it only works in 15 minute increments which is not accurate enough. There is also no way I have found to manually enter the time. The drag adjustment should use an accelerated pull to allow both large and small adjustments of time. Ill stick with the online version for now.
